Welcome to Music City! This past weekend I was lucky enough to get to take a road trip with some of my best girl friends to Nashville. We drove up to one of the girl's houses and stayed the night on her ranch. Boy, it was nice to be out of a dorm room and in an actual house again. Homemade breakfast? Queen sized beds? We college kids don't take these luxuries for granted. On our first morning, we explored the ranch on four wheelers, rode horses, and snuck a peek at Billy Currington's land! For lunch, we stopped at a local place in Leiper's Fork, which apparently is a common place for celebrities to show up. Sadly, we didn't see any. :(
We drove into the city that afternoon and shopped around in quirky boutiques before heading to Olive and Sinclair Chocolate Co. We took a fun little factory tour to see how the chocolate was made, and got a lot of samples (some of which were... interesting). For our nighttime entertainment, we went to Lonnie's Western Room, a popular karaoke bar, and it did not disappoint.
Sunday morning, we grabbed breakfast at the Pinewood Social. It is such a cute and hip restaurant/bowling alley with some amazing food! Before heading back to Auburn, we drove around 12 South to scout out some cool places to take pictures. This trip was a great escape to adventure around a new city!
