Exploring Auburn

Auburn, Alabama is a beautiful place! Being a lover of the outdoors, I had to check out Chewacla state park for myself. It did not disappoint! It is also $4 per person to get in, which is affordable for college students. There are waterfalls, bike trails, hiking trails, and small ponds all over this 268 mile park. The opportunities for fishing, paddle boating, picnics, etc. are endless! The hiking trails are pretty easy to manage, none of the trails we went on involved rock climbing or too steep of inclines. Another plus is all of the dogs people bring along with them, and they're always friendly enough to let you pet them ;). Here are some pictures I took while we were there!

The weather made it the perfect day to go hiking, and with good company, the day was picture perfect!

The rain from previous days had allowed the water fall to be flowing so gorgeously down the rocks!
My cute friends standing on a dangerous dam (which is why I stayed back to take a picture).
It really was so much fun, and a great way to exercise while spending time with friends and escaping campus for a few hours! I definitely recommend wearing sunscreen, bringing water, and some snacks (depending on how long you plan on staying).
